Origin

It started in a computer vision lecture at KIT.

01THE IDEA From a computer vision lecture

Jonas Menesklou and Dominik Klotz met in an entrepreneurship course at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The idea arrived in a computer vision lecture: if a manual tester works by looking at the screen, automation should be able to do the same from screenshots alone, with no hooks into the code.

02THE COMPANY Incorporated 2021, Karlsruhe

The question became a prototype, then a company. AskUI GmbH took its first steps in the region's CyberLab accelerator, and the principle from the lecture hall still carries the product: agents work from the screen alone, so one runtime covers every screen from web to embedded HMIs.

03THE MISSION A world where software can be trusted

We build the platform that lets delivery organizations ship solutions their clients trust. One lifecycle on one platform: validate before the gate, document at handover, operate in the field.

What we build

AgentOS. One runtime, every screen.

AgentOS captures the screen; a model decides the next action. Popups, slow loads and unexpected states do not break the run, which is why the benchmarks below are public.

THE APPROACH Agents replace algorithms

Traditional tools break when the UI changes. Our agents see the screen, reason, and act, like a tester at machine speed. Tasks are plain Markdown or CSV; anyone who knows the application can write them.
